Memba (Pty) Ltd ("Memba", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

• Personal details: name, email address, phone number, date of birth
• Health and medical information provided voluntarily for studio safety purposes
• Emergency contact details
• Payment and billing information
• Class attendance and booking history
• Communications sent through the platform

2. Why We Collect It

We collect this information to provide studio management services, process payments, manage class bookings, send communications, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. How We Store It

All data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Access is restricted to authorised studio administrators and Memba staff only.

4. Your Rights Under POPIA

You have the right to access your personal information, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@memba.co.za.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your studio membership is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.

6. Data Breaches

In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Information Regulator within 72 hours as required by POPIA.
